Soil and Pot Selection Kalanchoe thrives in a lightweight soil that provides fast drainage. Cactus and succulent soil is suitable for this plant. Also, you can allow excess water to drain out by using a pot with drainage holes. Tip: If you're using a decorative pot, you can control drainage by using a plastic inner pot. 4. Temperature and Humidity Kalanchoe prefers temperate conditions and generally grows well at temperatures between 15–25°C. Cold air can be harmful to this plant, so you should avoid temperatures below 10°C. Humid environments are not ideal for this plant, so it can also comfortably grow in dry air. Tip: Protect your plant from cold drafts during the winter months. 5. Fertilizing You can lightly fertilize Kalanchoe once a month during spring and summer. For this, you can choose a liquid fertilizer suitable for succulents. Do not fertilize during the winter months, because the plant enters a resting period. Tip: Avoid overusing fertilizer, as too much fertilizer can stress the plant. 6. Pruning Kalanchoe can be encouraged to bloom again by removing faded flowers after it has flowered. Pruning faded flowers helps the plant direct its energy toward new growth. Tip: Use sterile scissors when pruning and cut only the faded parts.

Kalanchoe doesn't need much water because it is a succulent. Watering should be done after waiting for the soil to dry out completely. It is important to reduce the frequency of watering in winter.
